Designing the AI as a translator, not a judge

Building buyer trust also meant understanding the artisans behind each piece. Conversations with makers in Jaipur, Thrissur, and Chandni Chowk revealed that they had their own concerns about how AI might represent their work.

Compare my necklace to a machine piece on purity and price, I lose. But my value is in 40 hours of hand labor, a unique regional style, and a design that will never be made again. A database doesn't understand art.
